You'll want to cut a few flower panicles and bring them indoors for fresh flower arrangements. While a beautiful specimen plant, the Old-Fashioned Jumbo Lilac also is impressive when planted in small groups, as a flowering hedge or privacy screen or in shrub borders. While low maintenance, it needs good air circulation and well-drained soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Grow in full sun to partial shade. Zones 3-7.
